What People Are Saying About Heritage Village
“We took our children there on our way out of town and spent almost 2 hours walking around the property, exploring all of the buildings, and having really great conversations about what life was like back in the late 1800s. The volunteers on site were very knowledgeable and were extremely friendly. No cost; just a donation if you feel. Definitely worth checking out with the family! We will be following the Historical Society to stay informed of events held at Heritage Village.”

“Decided to stop here on our way out of Mackinaw, it ended up being our favorite part of our day!!! No one else was there, it felt like a dream. meadows of milkweed and hundreds of butterflies. A lovely serene hiking trail. interesting buildings with all sorts of historical information. highlight: walking up towards the garden to find that, Betty (a volunteer), was gardening her portion of the garden. she spoke to my friend and I for over an hour; telling us stories of her life, of the village, and the world. it was surreal and so special getting to meet her and learning from her! definitely come by if you’re interested in a very unique experience!”
